Overview

Salem Media Group/Salem Surround in Columbus, Detroit and Pittsburgh has an exceptional opportunity for a qualified Regional Multimedia Sales Manager for our multi-station clusters and digital division. The ideal candidate will have a history of exceptional sales performance and a proven track record in both on-air and digital sales. This person is expected to consistently meet and exceed all budget categories. The candidate chosen would need to reside in either Detroit, MI or Columbus, OH.

Responsibilities

  • Help the teams in each market prospect, sell and lead them in developing multimedia advertising plans incorporating radio commercials/programs, digital marketing solutions, and event sponsorships.
  • Lead weekly sales meetings and build an environment and sales culture of success.
  • Recruit, hire, train and supervise three different sales teams in accordance with company policy.
  • Provide weekly projection/forecast reports to each Market General Manager
  • Work alongside a Regional Digital Sales Manager and Digital Campaign Specialist along with the Regional Digital Sales Director to meet and exceed digital sales goals.
  • Attend station and client promotions (outside of normal business hours) as needed.
  • Other related duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Maintain a positive and energetic leadership style with high integrity, strong work ethic and ownership of outcomes.
  • 10+ years of local media sales management experience preferred.
  • Proven track record of success in recruiting, hiring, and training sales professionals.
  • Proven record of meeting and exceeding sales objectives
  • Proven ability to solve local advertiser’s marketing challenges with the appropriate marketing solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Proficient in computer skills (Windows/PC, Microsoft Office)
  • Proficient in analyzing market research, analyzing internal financial reports and sales budgeting.
  • Has a drivers license
  • Willing to travel in accordance with Salem’s sales management requirements
