Overview

Salem Media Group in Portland, OR is currently looking for part-time help with our on-site promotional events. 

Promotions Assistants should have outgoing, friendly and engaging personalities – as they will be interacting with our listeners and the general public.  An eye for detail and the ability to proactively problem solve are also traits that make for an exceptional Promotions Assistant. This part time position will typically work 10-25 hours per week depending on scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Promotions Department with the execution of our events
  • Engage with our listeners and advertisers on a daily basis   
  • Availability on weekends and possibly some weekdays
  • Posting on social media accounts, replying to comments speaking for the brand of the stations
  • Help to create graphic design images for digital elements, gift certificates, handouts, flyers, etc.
  • Help manage prize inventory and database (organize physical prizes, calling prize winners, etc.)
  •  Ability to work and learn company software programs to update websites, execute online contesting, etc.
  • Maintaining promotional equipment, driving station vehicles
  • Workstation will be at the front desk and will include reception duties

Qualifications

  • Unquestionable Work ethic 
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record 
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 
  • Availability on weekends and possibly some weeknights
  • Knowledge of the Spanish language, a bonus
