Overview

Salem Media Group in Denver, CO has an excellent opportunity for a Chief Engineer.  Our radio cluster is currently searching for a Chief Engineer who exemplifies leadership, achievement and team spirit.  Performs equipment maintenance and installation activities in the radio recording studios and live broadcast control rooms to ensure technical quality of sound for programs originating in the studio from syndications or from remote pickup points.

Responsibilities

* Takes transmitter readings and maintains transmitter logs. Monitor overall technical operation of the station(s) to ensure compliance with FCC, Federal, EPA, OSHA and State and local regulation.  

* Candidate must be available to work nights, weekends and holidays on occasion. 

*Maintenance of equipment at facilities

Qualifications

* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with additional electronic technician specialized training; five years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

* Knowledge of RF and AM/FM Transmitters and associated remote control systems required.

 

* Knowledge of and ability to test and ensure back-up power generator systems operational. Support IT Team with troubleshooting and installations.

 

* Wide Orbit, Axia livewire System, repair of audio broadcast consoles and audio recording equipment, and TELCO systems and remote transmitter monitoring equipment is a plus

 

*Knowledge of directional and non-directional AM Arrays

Salary Range: $90,000/year
