Salem Media Group, Pittsburgh (WORD/WPIT/WPGP) is looking to hire a part-time board operator. We are currently looking for part time weekend/holiday and fill-in personnel. Must have some related experience in communications. Training is available for the right person.

Personality Traits: We are seeking someone with a professional, positive attitude. Must be ready to think on your feet and have the ability to multi-task. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays if available. Preference given to people with flexible schedules.

This position is open for broadcast board operator which may include producing a live talk show. Knowledge of WideOrbit Digital automation software and Adobe Audition a plus.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
• Operation of sound console during live and pre-recorded programming
• Screening and activating live calls
• Assisting hosts with preparing in-studio and remote guests for interviews
• May be requested to assist with production/operation of other station(s) programs within scheduled hours of duty
• Assists Operations/Programming in improving/maintaining show quality and content through constructive feedback and suggestions
• Be fluid and flexible adjusting daily task list to the demands of a live radio program
• Completes traffic logs and fixes logging discrepancies
• Airs emergency alert system tests as indicated
• Regulates timing of programs, operates syndicated programming and plays commercials and promotions as scheduled
• Takes transmitter readings and maintains transmitter logs
• Other related duties as assigned by Operations Manager

• Must be available to work weekends and possibly holidays
• Must have reliable transportation (including during inclement weather)
