Overview

Salem Media Group – LA is looking for a dynamic and experienced Director of Sales to lead our talented radio and digital sales team. In this role, you’ll serve as the General Sales Manager for KKLA, KRLA, KTIE, KDAR, and Salem Surround Digital, overseeing a team that drives impactful advertising solutions for our clients. If you have a proven track record in broadcast and digital advertising sales, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

Responsibilities

Leading the Sales Team: You’ll inspire and coach your team to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue goals while fostering a culture of success.
Coaching in the Field: Spend time working alongside Media Strategists to close new business deals and expand existing accounts.
Developing Marketing Strategies: Collaborate with your team to craft advertising plans tailored to clients’ needs and goals.
Staying Sharp on Product Knowledge: Keep up-to-date with Salem’s digital and audio tactics to ensure your team stays competitive.
Managing CRM Systems: Use Salem’s CRM tools to track sales performance and take corrective action when necessary.
Recruiting Top Talent: Attract and hire skilled sales professionals who can help drive growth.
One-on-One Mentoring: Hold weekly meetings with individual sellers to review their performance against goals and provide actionable guidance.
Leading Sales Meetings: Organize weekly sessions to train the team, share best practices, and celebrate wins.
Reporting: Submit weekly sales forecasts to the General Manager.

 

 

Qualifications

We’re seeking someone who:
• Has proven experience managing sales teams in broadcast and digital advertising.
• Lives in the LA area.
• Has a history of exceeding revenue goals paired with strong closing skills.
• Possesses excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
• Is knowledgeable about broadcast and digital advertising strategies like SEO, SEM, social media, etc.
• Brings at least three years of relevant experience with two years in a sales management role.
