Overview

Salem Media Group has an excellent opportunity for a Benefits Specialist to oversee
all of the employee health and welfare benefits, wellness program, and the 401(k)retirement
program. This position can be located anywhere in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of health and welfare benefit plans, including ancillary
coverages.
• Oversee 401(k) plan, including 5500 processing, Non-discrimination testing, and
loan/distribution requests.
• Oversee all compliance with Affordable Care Act provisions, including offerings
of coverage, marketplace appeals, and 1095c process, including reviewing,
editing, processing, and filing with IRS.
• Work with 3rd party vendors to ensure all benefit-related calls from employees
are properly handled.
• Review and approve/deny employee qualifying life events.
• Work with 3rd party vendors to resolve benefit disputes with insurance carriers.
• Handle all aspects of benefit renewal and open enrollment.
• Performs all insurance invoice reconciliation and billing to business units.
• Manage Health Savings Accounts and Flexible Spending Accounts
• Work with 3rd party administrator for COBRA processing.
• Audits of benefits for consistency and accuracy
• Data input/approval of benefit elections and deductions
• Benefits related communication campaigns.

Qualifications

• Must have min. 8 years of experience managing all day-to-day benefit
operations.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize a very busy desk.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Critical thinking skills are a must!
• Must have the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

Compensation

28.85 per hour to 36.08 per hour
