Overview

Salem Web Network, a division of Salem Media, offers an exceptional opportunity for a Strategic Account Lead.  

The Strategic Account Lead is both the architect and the builder – for our Salem Ministry Services vertical. You’ll own strategy and implementation for a portfolio of high‑value ministry clients—translating business goals into integrated plans and then rolling up your sleeves to launch, optimize, and scale campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels. You will oversee an Account Manager and coordinate shared subject‑matter experts to deliver measurable growth in listeners, leads, donors, and lifetime value.

 

Responsibilities

Key Duties

 

Strategy & Planning

  • Lead discovery, audience and donor journey mapping, and competitive/market analysis.
  • Build annual and quarterly growth roadmaps with budgets, channel mix, KPIs, and testing plans.
  • Translate strategy into clear briefs, timelines, and resourcing plans across shared teams.

Hands‑On Implementation

  • Oversee the team that manages campaigns across Google Ads/YouTube, Meta/Instagram, programmatic/display, and remarketing, radio and streaming asset integrations.
  • Own clients’ promotions calendar and ensure campaigns are executed on time and are effective
  • Partner with design/dev to produce landing pages and conversion flows; implement tracking and ensure proper reporting back to the client

Fundraising & Donor Growth

  • Drive full‑funnel results: acquisition → conversion → monthly sustainer → retention/reactivation → mid/major donor handoff as needed by the client
  • Shape offers and creative angles; guide copy and asset production to strengthen appeals and value propositions.
  • Optimize for Life Time Value (LTV), Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), average gift, conversion rate, and retention.

Media Integration (Radio ↔ Digital)

  • Align broadcast schedules, Call to Actions, and creative with digital retargeting and lead capture.
  • Implement call tracking, promo codes, and cross‑channel attribution to connect on‑air activity to digital outcomes.

Client Leadership & Communication

  • Serve as day‑to‑day strategic lead and primary point of contact; run weekly standups and quarterly business reviews with executive‑ready decks.
  • Set expectations, manage scope, and proactively resolve issues; oversee Account Manager’s workload and development.

Cross‑Functional & Vendor Coordination

  • Orchestrate shared Subject Matter Experts in paid media, SEO, audio/video, social, design, analytics, and engineering; drive on‑time, on‑budget delivery.

Qualifications

What You Bring

  • 3–5+ years of account management or digital marketing experience; nonprofit fundraising experience strongly preferred.
  • Hands‑on platform experience: Google Ads/YouTube, Meta Ads Manager, programmatic/display platforms, and remarketing.
  • Email/SMS execution experience (HubSpot, ActiveCampaign, or similar marketing automation/CRM).
  • Analytics proficiency: GA4, tag managers, pixels, audience segmentation; confident building dashboards and pulling insights.
  • Strong project management in tools such as ASANA (or Monday/Jira); disciplined documentation and QA.
  • Familiarity with radio/streaming/digital audio and how to align on‑air with digital retargeting and lead capture.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets); basic HTML and web tooling familiarity is a plus.
  • Experience with supporting tools such as VirtuousRaise, Salesforce, RAB, Hubspot and Zapier is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; client-ready presentation skills; ability to turn data into decisions.
